Progress

This has been a particularly successful week for 2BIG2FAIL. While our Persian friends have declined our visa forms (as well as all other Americans), we have secured half of our other visas and are now planning to ship the bus across the Caspian by boat, which will be an adventure in and of itself. Our bus was finally formally approved as an acceptable vehicle for the race, which was a huge step. Now that this is confirmed, Kate and I are headed to Connecticut tomorrow to start invasive engine work, electrical jerry-rigging, and other things that we don’t fully understand how to do. We are hoping to firm up the shipping details next week and are planning a few bus tours in New England in the coming weeks, which we will keep everybody apprised of (ranging from a ski trip to Mt. Washington to a Connecticut Hot Dog Tour). We’ll try to load some new photos tomorrow after the work is complete.
